First of all thanks for all the pm's and calls. It means very much to me. I hooked the garden hose up to the motor this morning and got out the trusty battery jumper not expecting it to turn over, but it did. I fired the big motor in the driveway which isn't as loud as the two stroke , but loud enough. I headed over to Normandy, thats for you RJ, and fished for six or seven hours. I am notorious for not taking drinks or food with me because I always "have to be somewhere" but not today. I took some drinks, took some food and just wanted to relax. The wind didn't much care for me being there but I stuck it out. I started out on the damn dam end.:D No luck , that is if a walleye is any luck. Headed over to campground cove and prayed to the GPS gods to please be nice, they were. Caught 3 nice keepers there, then the action quit. Headed on over to skinny dipping cove and caught several , but only one keeper. (Freaking thug came through there and got me all excited, but I calmed down after he tore my fancy net all to pieces). Anyways, I started wondering about water temps and headed up river. Carroll was kind to me on the left side. Every fish was a keeper, that being nine. At this time I was getting a little hongry, yeah, spelled hongry, LOL, anyways I haven't fished the four boos around fire lake bridge since 2007, so thought I would head up there and check it out. A ton of tater chips. I sat there a long time just enjoying the peace and quiet and the occasional thump thump from the overhead traffic. After that it dawned on me that my wife is going out with a few girls from school tonight and that I need to head home. Overall a good day. The boat ran great, I did fine , oh and did I mention my fishing partner who went with me? A super nice guy who has been hounding me for a long time to take him crappie fishing. Hope I didn't disappoint. He is from Lebanon Tennessee. That is my report. Good luck to all who go in the next few days. I would have taken pics but me being the genius that I am had dead batteries in the camera cause it hasn't been used in so long. I am on the mend. I am still real ugly, but feeling more feisty everyday. I may not catch more fish than you, but I bet I have more fun.Take care everyone. FATBOY
Sounds like you had a good day and I"m sure it felt good just to get out of the house. Glad you're back on the water. rj4bama
You will become like those with which you associate.
Definitely a step in the right direction. And caught fish too. Glad to hear all is going your way. My previous offer still stands, if you can stand my company. The Woman still has her days but overall she stands up for the trips so far. See you out there one day soon.
Wake me up early,
Be good to my dogs,
and teach my children to pray.
You have never been in my boat skeet, but you are definately welcome. I may not teach you much, but I will show you alot. FATBOY
