Thread: Dog Days

I'm guessin that the fish aren't the only creatures that don't do much in the heat of the dog days. Either no one's fishin or they just aren't posting. Come on cooler weather.

Went to woods this morning. Fished for 4 hours and only managed 3 keepers. With the breeze it didn't feel all that hot.

I went saturday with a friend and we basically was waisting time.Not a cloud in the sky and not near nuff action to justify being there.Caught only 3 keeper crappie and some blue gill and stripe. Always seems to be best weather during the week.

Well I have not been in awhile, i have been using the time to make and drop crappie condos for the fall fishing. My dad and stepmom went to KY lake on Saturday and caught 14 with the biggest one 1lb 7oz. he was just glad to get to go. The best thing is he gave me the fish, so I'll have fresh crappie for supper tonight! MMMMM can't wait:D:D:D
