Sure do. Actually get out several times throughout the summer after dark. Usually fish around lights, but sometimes just use popping bugs/lures worked really slow. Most often I drop my submersible light down and fish around the outer perimeter of the glow of the light. I use small jigs tipped with various types of plastics, just depending on what they are willing to hit. I will try several different jig/color combos at one time. Tandem rigs on a couple poles allows me to cover a lot of different depths and bait options. Once I get a couple everything switches to that particular combo at that specific depth, and just start pulling them in. The one thing I have often found with night fishing for specks is the bite can be fast and furious for a short time and then nothing the rest of the night. A good bite for me often only lasts 30 - 45 minutes and then it is all over, but in that short time it is very possible to put your 25 fish limit in the basket. Give it a try and good luck.

i used to night fish quite a bit when i was in saginaw, jus havent done much over here. my one buddy and i try the fall night bite over at riverside park from time to time but thats been bout it. i get a lot of crappie at night through the ice, but nothing is like a calm summer night and slabs flopping in the bottom of the boat:D

I did some eye night fishing years ago, but never for slabs. I have read up on it and think I may have to invest in a light and give it a try. Sounds interesting to say the least.
