    Default Pine Lake_6-03-09

I decide to check out this new lake this morning, i was at the ramp 6:30 and to my surprise the wind was there all ready. The water temps were 64 degrees and when i left it was @ 68 degrees .

I studied my map book the night before and i went to my first place to fish and started trolling and within 2 minutes i had my first one one for the day. I like to troll when checking out new lake, kind of lets me find structure. The bite was really light all day and missed many fish and lost quiet a few trying to set the hook, so if you catch any fish with no lips you know why.

This lake has a large crappie population and the average i was catching was 7-8 inches and threw many back, i caught a few small bass 1 perch and of coarse crappie, overall I'm not all that impressed with this lake maybe if the wind wasn't a factor it might of been better, i do think this would be a fun lake to go around in the heat of the summer and shoot docks, there are many ones to practice on.

Default I had the same thought, Jim...

about dock shooting. Pine lake and Gun both would be good I would think. BTW nice catch. Where did you launch and did it cost?

Life has many choices, eternity has two...choose wisely.
Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.

look at you map book and find the launch icon, thats were i went in , i drove around and checked another spot at a Marina and they were all 5.00, thats another thing i don't like about going to lakes like that but i understand why.

The name of the road i launched off was Boniface Point Dr, the ramp was gravel but overall it was a nice launch and the area was clean.
