    Default Duncan lake 5-20-09( pics)

Decided to try a different for a change and from previous trip there i knew theres plenty if crappie in that lake just not many big ones. The water temp was 63 deg. and the fish would bite any color i threw at them and at any depth, 12 to 35 ft.this is a good lake to take kids fishing they wont get bored.

    Nice mess of fillets

    thanks guys

i hit the water at 6 this morning and i was sorting fish after 1 to 1 1/2 hours of fishing, many throw backs, it was crazy.

after cleaning the fish i probably had 6 females full of eggs still, my guess after squeezing there bellies spawn is still days out or more

Default You can tell those are from Duncan...

'cause the spots are spaced farther apart. LOL. But seriously, the first thing I noticed was they looked different. Check out the pic of the fish you pulled from Gun. They look different.

If you remember last summer i posted that i caught fish there and at that time I thought they were white crappie, there much lighter in color even the males were dark but nothing like gun males

Well in my book they certainly are black crappie, but they also definately look different. Duncan lake hybrids right!?
