Does anyone on this board fish that area? Some friends invited me up for a few days for camping and kayaking, but I am considering taking my boat instead and trying to catch a few crappie while they kayak. We would be in the Lumberman's Monument area so the Cook Dam Pond would be very close. Any suggestions? THanks
FYI - Last Thursday - a week ago - I fished Huzzy Lake in Vanburen County for about four hours and limited out on some very nice FAT crappie. Trolling jigs tipped with minnows. 7 to 12 feet of water over weeds seemed the best areas.
