fishing today was not so crappy!
Got the boat in for the first time this year today, hit my favorite spot on Tipsico Lake and got 6 all around 8-9". Made a new friend as I pulled my boat out of the water and we are going to hit the lake again tomorrow evening. Thinking I will skip the shorts and wear jeans, I think I lost my mind in the excitement of getting out to fish and forgot to change.....brrrrr!

Tipsico.
I have been to Tipsico. Used to know someone who lived on the lake. Unfortunately I was not into fishing at the time and never fished it.
Have you found any size to the crappie on the lake? Is there a public access? I am originally from the east side, and my wife's folks live in Fenton.

Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.

Nothing bigger than 12" for my style of fishing, I seem to run around 9" pretty constant. I fish a 1/16 or 1/8 oz jig with a 2" Powerbait tail in salt and pepper. Yellow works best followed by pink only bad thing is the pike seem to love em too! I have hit some 12-13" at bush Lake in Holly but really haven't broken the 14" mark yet. I am going to Sandusky Bay Thursday to fish for Crappie this weekend, I've heard the Crappie from Lake Erie can get pretty big! If you find yourself heading to Fenton then drop me a note, I'll bring the boat.
