    Default Where to Fish??

    Hey All,
I just moved here from Florida..Where can I find crappie within a hours drive from Northville?? FYI..I do not own a boat nor a mansion on the lake, so where do I go to catch crappie fishing from the shore or off a dock?

    Thanks!!

    Terry

    Default Welcome to Michigan Oklasooner.

Madman gave you a good link to locate a few lakes nearby. Sportsman's Connection puts out detailed lake mapbooks for Michigan. They are divided up by sections i.e. southwestern, central lower, southeastern, etc.

Any good tackle shop should have them. I have two personally and use them a lot. Also lists the species of fish and the number data on the DNR's last sampling. Go git yerself one.

Try Kent Lake at Kensington state park, they have fishing docks available and I hear there is good crappie fishing in the lake. Kent Lake is off I96 around milford area.....shouldn't be more than 30*40 minute drive. they rent aluminum boats also!
