He wouldn't have made it without the "travel kit" I put together for him. Lots of treats and snacks from Aldi. Have fun while you're there, be safe on the water and don't get too much sun. See you in a week.

    Vbottom,

Are you at Big Pine Island? On the Gulf side of Florida?

If so, my Dad lives on that Island.

Glad you guys made it safe. No ice here yet but I’ve heard power is out in the Gaylord area.

Nice area you’re at, we used to vacation at Sanibel/Captiva island

Went out (speckled) Sea Trout fishing and had a ball.....is that what you’re fishing for?
    Take pictures and enjoy!

So far, so good. Got a bunch of rain then a little snow/ice mix but that's pretty much gone now. Made a big batch of venison chili for dinner. Perfect for a nasty day like this.

OE we are near St James city across from Ft Meyers..had an awesome day on the water..landed a good 30+ spotted sea trout..few lady fish..saw a few sharks a couple around 4' long. Winds hit 20 mph before we called it a day...caught a few catfish (gafftopsail) with really tall dorsel fins that are supposedly poisones including their toxic slime...had to be really careful with those...all and all a great day...Jerry had to start the generator for my daughter at the house..sounds like the weather further north of Lansing is worse..using Steve's Engel bait cooler for shrimp..an awesome little unit with an aeration pump to keep them lively... thanks Steve..Name: 5404.jpeg

    Vbottom,

My Dad lives of 767 aka Stringfellow Rd.

Pretty much straight North from the spot you took the screen shot of the map.

Those spotted trout look cool, do you eat them? Are they like Steelhead up here?

Enjoy the weather, 40+ mph gusts here today.

Looks like you need some more stuff in that boat.

Those are some nice looking fish. Bring me back a few fillets, I would like to try it again.

Power is back on now, I'll run down later and put your generator away. That should be worth some of Michelles lemon cake.

I’m glad you’re getting good use out of it Jeff. (Engel)
We have power here, windows are ice glazed. My oldest so got called out somewhere to help with Consumers Energy restore power.

Keep on catching them Jeff and Michelle!
