Jeri if it's easier, there is a couple nice hotels here in Chartucky, you could follow me and the grandkids up from here.

There is a Holiday Inn Express right off I-69 next to Meijer Shifty Takers

Warm weather and rain this week.
What’s your thoughts on ice condition?

There was 12-14 inches last week. It might be wet on top but should be OK. If anybody is uncomfortable going after this warm up we can postpone it a couple of weeks.

Either way I'll be fishing that day.

After seeing the weather report for Saturday, I think we do need to postpone the ice fishing jamboree. They're saying 100% chance of rain and winds to 25 mph. I'm sure the ice will be fine but those are miserable conditions to be out in. Ice creepers or not, that has the makings for some dangerous footing. Maybe we can do it the weekend in February when the kids don't have school on Friday and Monday.

    Good Idea Jerry.

I have no problem fishing on thinning ice or when it is snowing, but ice fishing in the rain sucks! Add wind and you quickly become a kite going across the lake in your shed, sled, or shanty! If it isn't tied down or spiked down, be prepared to retrieve it from the opposite shore.

    I think that's a good call.
