Been nice all week. Now were all packed and loaded up to go camping & fishing for a few days. Yup, you guessed it, right after we got all ready to go it started raining. Hey, when you get lemons-make lemon aid.

I was up to Burt lake and the leaves are about 75%

Hey Jimmy, were going over on the Au Sable River to Sawmill Point campground. Was going to go last night, but too much rain, leaving this morning. Color here is probably 75% or more.

Carol and I were noticing how much color we were seeing along 96 and 69 heading east last weekend.

Brrr. I can't get warm today.

Alboy.... awesome idea on the thread. Better than starting a one line thread for nothing. Plus it is fun to read the random thoughts of people from day to day. My random thought for the day would not be rated "G" for this site!

I make those lanyards up from time to time. They are fun to do when I have free time. I've taught a ton of people how to make them too. Glad to show you how to make them sometime. Kids love doing it. I also make some pretty cool weaved gun slings.

Being in the Marines, I had access to tons and tons of 550 paracord. We used to sit around in the field and have "arts and crafts" time. Should have seen some of the stuff that was weaved, tied, or whittled out of wood!
