Default Living in Pinconning Need help

Hey guys lovin Michigan, i moved up in May and had some of the best smallmouth fishing of my life on saginaw bay. i have been enlightened on ice fishing-caught a few walleye through the ice, i never knew ice fishing was this big. Of course the first time i went i was sick (riding a 4 wheeler on ice:eekplus i had been in TN at xmas and bass and crappie fished out of my boat on the lake! But was wondering if i could get some ideas on some of the inland lakes in the area to hit for crappie. Im heading to West Point Ga to tear em up in March.
Any help or possible someone to go, i have a triton would be good! Thanks

    Default Welcome Dinky.

You can't beat Michigan in the summer. Winters can be long, but if you are into winter sports, then your all good.

Cook empoundment and Foote are both just northwest of you and are good places w/ lots of good structure. I'd take you up on your offer, but I'm a bit far for a day fishing.

You never know, we might be having our spring fishing outing in your neck o' the woods this May. Stay on top of the posting for that.

If you knew how many and how big of crappies are within a half hour of your location you might not look for fishing water elsewhere. You have experienced the walleye and smallmouth bass fishing on Saginaw Bay so why not crappie fishing? The shallow waters of the bay from Pinconning up past Standish hold good numbers of black, white, and hybrid crappies. Good luck!
