We fished 3 days at Fletchers ,Water temp 65deg.The 1st day fished the north end ,1 pike
Several bass .The next day we went down south of Jacks Landing did really good .11 pike a few bass 1 over 5 lbs ..the next day rain 1 pike 2 bass .The pke were all 22 –30 inch ,most bass were about 2 lbs. Some of the pike had sores on there side from something . we never really panfished ,Lost 2 pike had several follows on the rainy day .Its so cool to seem them in the clear water .The gps was very helpful getting through the stumps ,once you made it follow your trail back .
Good places to eat : Jacks Landing ,RV park in Hillman
Best Lure :white spinnerbait , rubber worm for bass .
All fish were released
Wild Bills baitshop very helpful.
Very good trip, would like to do some stream fishing next time .
Fletchers landing I would NOT recommend = nasty .
I will post some pictures later .

great to see you had a great time catching fish, ill have ti check out them waters some time and looking forward to seeing the pictures
Glad to see you had a great time and left all our stumps intact.
Been many years since I fished there. Loooong drive from over here. Looks like a beautiful day there in the pics. I wonder if the "sores" you saw weren't from sea lampreys? Were they pretty much nice clean circles?

Life has many choices, eternity has two...choose wisely.
Unapplied biblical truth is like unapplied paint...how many gallons do you have sittin' around? U.D.
Yankee ,i heard the sore s could be either from being bit from another fish or where they had been caought before and the slime which protects them was scraped off somehow
Wow. Mention of Jack's Landing takes me back to the 50's when my dad took me there. We lived in Ohio at that time. I see wide open water in the photos, but 50 years ago it was a flooded forest of trees. Jack's had a guide who led a line of fishing boats through a trail in the maze of trees. Each boat was dropped off at a specific spot with stern orders NOT to leave and try to go elsewhere. A boat could very easily get lost in the maze of trees, and back then there were no 2 way radios, cell phones, or GPS! (LOL) We cast and fished live bait at our location until the guide returned to take us back to the lodge. We caught pike out the wazoo, a few bass, and to this day one of the bluegills I caught is still my personal best :D

Some of life's most precious memories take place in the presence of a fish.
