    Default Gun tonight

went out fishing about 5:30 till dark tonight, haven't been in the water much lately and was excited to catch a crappie with my new b&m rod, The water temp was at 75 deg. , it took me an hour before i caught my first fish thought i had a wall hanger on and it turned out to be a bass. The crappie ended up bitting pretty good, , most of my fish i caught were in 12 to 15 ft and were very picky with what color i used.

Nice to see you finally made time to do the important stuff Jim! Ha.

That's good that you're finding the fish for next weekend. John will need for us to put him on the hot spots that we know about. Plan on making a print of the lake map so we can mark it up a bit for everyone. Look forward to seeing you again.

Don't mean to butt in,I've had good luck on the north side of the island quite a few times this time of year, especially at night. Also on the east side of the penisula on the west lake, there is a deep trough that on a map is'nt there.Start a bit north of where the penisula campground is and zig zag back and forth watching your sonar and you'll find it.It's about 150' long and 30' wide and fish will stack up in there at times. Good luck

I've fished 'the hole'. You're right about finding fish stacked there.

John we are planning on having the rig already to roll on Thur. so we should be at Gun by 5 pm or so on Fri.
