Go read Rango's dusty draws post.
Now that's funny. I don't care you who you are.
But try this one on for size, see if it doesn't put a smile on your face.
Harry and Martha retire from Michigan, and move to South Texas to live quietly and cheaply near the Mexican border. One day, Harry is out driving around and he realizes, "Hey!! I'm in Texas! People in Texas wear boots. I'm gonna buy a pair of boots!", which he does. He goes and buys the nicest pair of black boots he can find.
He goes home, marches into the kitchen and says, "Martha! You notice anything new about me?"
"No. I don't see anything different about you, Harry."
So Harry goes to the bedroom and strips down to nothing but his boots and goes back into the kitchen.
"Well? How about now? Do you notice anything new about me now, Martha?"
Martha looks him up and down and says, "Harry, you're the same man I married 35 years ago and that is the same limp worm I've been looking at for the past 5 years."
To which Harry replies, "It's not limp, Martha. It's looking at my new boots Martha. My new cowboy boots, Martha. Its admiring my NEW boots!"
Without missing a beat, Martha replies, "Harry, you should have bought a hat."
Hang in there. It'll get better.
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged
Greetings Fowlmen-too,
I also live in Monroe,County and share your disappointment. The lagoons at Sterling State Park are loaded with crappie, perch and bluegill. No motor boats are allowed and there's no launch access to the lagoons.
The DNR at the campgrounds told me its OK to take your boat in but you have to use an electric trolling motor. NO WAKE. I thought about getting a small jon boat with a trolling motor just for camping and fishing the lagoons.
If your out of work go to the community and get some training. "Dislocated workers" get free tuition programs. Some of the certification programs only take one year. I did it years ago and it's great!
