Thread: Gun fun

got out on the water around 10 am today and finally had a very smooth day , no wind and lots of sun, i live for times like that

The water temp had dropped some from the last time we were there and when i left it got back up to 68 deg. The fishing wasn't bad today caught many fish and my biggest for the day was a 13 inches and all went back in for next time.

On the way home i stopped at another lake called Baker lake, its about a 60 acre lake and last year i pulled some very nice crappie out of there, well this year has been different all i could catch there lately is some small dinks, i think I'm done with that lake.

Until tomorrow

i was at gun also , but did not get there until around 1pm, looks like the gills are about done already, did manage about a dozen crappie, just nothing real big.left around 7pm water temps were right at 70.
just a beutiful day to be on the water.

Haven't seen you on the board much lately. Fall down?

Told the wife that we have to make a day trip to Gun next week while I'm on my layoff. Looks like Mon. or Tue. are the good looking days so far.

and i have that week off too

kids are out of school now, and they might be around next week, will have to keep in touch with the weather and the other and see

whats start time on mon. i might be able to get out after 1230pm, kids dr appt. would like to join in on some of those slabs

Actually the wife said we should just go camp there for a couple of days, so after looking at the forecast, I booked Mon. and Tue. on site 83 which is right next to the launch at the state park. Come on by and pay us a visit.

Will be getting there sometime late morn on Monday and leaving mid day on Wed.

Skillett's prolly already on the water with his work schedule. Mama and I are leaving here shortly. Should be there by 10 or so. See ya'll there.
