    Question Ordered 12" Jackplate

Going to set my motor back so I can install the 997c I just bought on my pontoon boat. Any suggestions about adjusting it to the proper height would be appreciated. I ordered a manual adjust because the hydraulic was way out of site right now with all it will take to set things up just to use the 997c.
I'm thinking that I need to keep the motor on the same height as it is now just setting it back 12". Am I correct on this thought? Help me out if you can. Ferdi aka Fred

I would start about 3" up. You want your motor not to low and not to high. Check this site out.

The feather off the back of the boat, the higher you can go.
