Agree with the fella with the unmentionable name.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Longer probably ride better, wider - well, might actually ride worse
BUT for the deal of wider is probably gonna be heavier too, which will help.

Get the longest, widest, HEAVIEST thing you can stand for my .02
I don't worry about speed I look at some of the floating boat
docks on my home lake sometimes and wonder about just putting a motor
on 'em and "borrowing" them for a spell. Ya think the Corps would mind?

p.s. nuthin but a deeeeep V for me from now on.

Jeff is right a wider boat in something like a john boat, the ride will be bad. I had at the same time. 2 War-Eagles a 2072 LDSV and a 754 LDV the 17ft boat rode better then the 20ft boat. The room in the 20ft was nice. But it did not ride as good as the 17ft one.
I'm like jeff now not going unless its in my Deep V lund.:D

Best ride would be a 24 pontoon, lots of weight & pontoon floats cut thru water.........
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

    Rich,

Both my wife and I are kind of large. Granted I have lost alot of weight in the last few months. I would say wife is in the 250 range (if she see's this I am dead) I am down to around 250. Last year we purchased a new Lowe's Crappie Stinger. Its a 175, with just a 50 hp Merc on it. I can fish for 12 to 13 hours and travel 30 to 40 miles and only burn 7 to 8 gallons of gas. Top speed with 2 people is 28 MPH with 2 people in the boat. I sometimes get up to 30 to 31 MPH with just me in it. It has built in Minnow Buckets in each of the livewells. What I like about the boat is the both of us can stand together at any corner of the boat and it won't tip at all. Plus at the front there is just not 1 seat post hole there is 3 of them. If she wants to fish beside me I just move my seat out of the center hole and put her seat next to mine. Boat is really wide at the back, 7'. If I remove the rear seat and post I can lay down flat and not touch either side of the boat. And I am 6'4" without shoes on! I don't notice wife moving around in the back of the boat and I feel safe in 5' white caps or more. Thats nice when your on the lake and get caught in a storm coming up.

Everyone has their own ideas. I just giving you mine. I looked at boats for almost 2 years and looked at several brands. I didn't want a bass boat, I wanted something that was for crappie only. But I still can fish for bass if I want too.

If I needed to replace my boat in the morning, I would buy the same thing all over again. LOL but I do like the looks of the 195 Crappie Stinger due to the fact that our tackle bags are getting larger!
