    Default 1973 9.5 evinrude

Does anyone have any parts laying around? In need of what they call a gearcase head, it's the housing that holds the lower seal. I broke the tab off mine. I guess it keeps it from spinnig in the case.
Thanks if you all help Gary

So your just looking for the bottom part of the gearcase? With the skeg? Or do you want the whole gearcase?

It slips over the shaft, o-ring on the outside and holds the lower unit seal.
It supports the propeller shaft between the case & skeg.
    Thanks Gary

Wait. I know what your talking about about. I was calling it something else in my mind. Anyway, Im showing it lists for between $120-$160 new. I usually get 50% on used parts. You can get it for $50 plus shipping whcih should only be a few bucks. Let me know. Thanks
