    Default suzuki oil injection

I have an older (1985) 75 hp suzuki oil injected outbard that seems to be still in good condition; but, I am concerned about the age and realibility of the oil injection system. I cannot determine if the motor han alarm that would alert the operator if the system failed. It has an alarm but I think it is only for low oil level in the resevoir. Has anyone disconnected the injection system and gone to a premix fuel for an engine of this size; if so, what would need to be done, disconnected etc. other than premixing the fuel .
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

I did mine. Unplug the connector at the tank and insulate the wires sep. Remove the tank and unhook the linkage going to the pump. Your done as far as I remember. The circuit is normally opened when the tank is full. It only sets the alarm when the circuit closes, due too the tank being low on oil. Just don't forget and not premix. Mine has ran that way for four years now. Good luck.
