Has anyone tried or used Alumaloy for sealing leaks in aluminum boats.
I'd like any kind of opinions pro or con on this product if anyone has had any experience with it.

I have never used it but understand it isn't very good unless you can get the surface up to 900°. Here is a fairly new product that people say if really good. BoatFix.com :: GLUVIT EPOXY SEALER QUART .65
Search for them on iboats and see what others say. iboats Boating Forums
Where is the leak?

Thanks Bill.
I'm looking at the Alumaloy for another project as well.
A one man mini-pontoon for troll motor only lakes.
I want to wrap the edges of the 3/4"marine ply in an aluminum frame.
And looking to use the Alumaloy to "weld"/braze the notch joints.
Like this.
One or two long Aluminum L-Channel brackets

In my job and at home I use alumaloy quite a bit. It's really good stuff, but the temps are more in the 725 degree range .Cleaning the parts with a stainless steel wire brush is the most important issue. p.s. buy a rosebud tip for your propane torch.
