Default Seat pedistal stuck

I just bought a used boat and found this seat pedistal stuck, this baby is really jammed in there. I have tried soaking it with WD40 and it has pipe wernch makres on the top of the post where someone has tried to break it lose. I wouldn't care but it's the high one used for the front or the back for fishing. any idea's how to break it free?
You guy's are the greatest I appreciate any tips.

Fishing forever !

PB Blaster is a lot better than WD 40. Or maybe if you can put some heat to it...

Do you know if it is a screw-in? Yeah, pull the plate and if its a slip-in, soak it down and drive it out. If a screw-in, probably replace.

Liquid Wrench is some good stuff...alot better than WD-40. You have to spray it on and let it set though. Might have to spray it a few times so it can work it's way down.

I found this some time ago and thought it pretty interesting.

Machinist's Workshop magazine tested penetrants for break out torque on rusted nuts. They arranged a subjective test of all the popular penetrants with the control being the torque required to remove the nut from a "scientifically rusted" environment. The results are as follows;

Penetrating oil..... Average load
None ............ ......516 pounds
WD-40 ............ ....238 pounds
PB Blaster ............ 214 pounds
Liquid Wrench ..... 127 pounds
Kano Kroil ............ 106 pounds
ATF-Acetone mix....53 pounds

The ATF-Acetone mix was a "home brew" mix of 50-50 automatic transmission fluid and acetone.

I always have good luck with PB Blaster. I have used them all and that is what works best for me.
