Default Need help with 2 HP Mariner OB

I might be trying to do too much with nothing but here is my situation. I came by a 2hp Mariner outboard which I would like to run on a pond boat.

The numbers 7662 are on the transom mount along with the words manufactured in Japan.

Can anyone help me determine the year of this motor and a reliable parts source ?

Regards

I have several sources for determining the year of an outboard but no luck with yours. Any other numbers on the tag?

You could contact these folks
Welcome to Twin City Outboard - Parts from 1906 to Present
they helped me a while back with parts for a 1955 Johnson, they say they got parts for most all motors. Good Luck
