    Default ranger trailer hub leaking

I have a 2000 Ranger and the trailer hub is leaking and I need to add a little oil to it. What oil do I need for it?

It's straight 50 weight conventional oil. I'd be leary, because if oil is leaking out, water might be getting in.

That's for sure i would take it off and replace the seals.

because it is the pits to change on the side of the road

after the bearings get hot and weld to the spindel

and bearing race spins in the hub. chewing up the hub.

    done that not fun.
