Default Input on new portable fuel tank

I have a moeller 6 gallon tank that leaks gas around the cap while in transit and the fuel gauge doesn't work either.

I'm looking for input on what new 6 gallon tank I should get or should I just try and work on what I have?

I would imagine that the gasket for the cap and the fuel gauge can both be replaced. Those tanks are way too expensive for what they are. Just another over priced boating item.

    X3! I recently purchased a new 6 gallon tank - I cried!!
Find some fuel rated gaskets, or get a sheet of gasket material, less then $10 at Auto store, and make some.

I have a Tohatsu fuel tank I thought about replacing till I saw it was about 180 smacks and more for shipping. it Baked in the sun for 15 years till I made hatch covers for the tank and batteries. the gauge is no longer readable ---- most gas caps do not have the Gauge. buy a new cap even if there is not a Gauge.. Leaking fuel is A fire hazard your wife can not afford with a fire, and four to six gallons of Gasoline . Making a gasket it could still leak.
