I use non ethanol gas. Are Seafoam and Yamaha Ring Free similar products? I also add Stabil which is a stabilizer which I don't think the other two provide. Correct?

Had half a tank of E10 gas with Seafoam added ... boat sat idle for 6months thru all the snow/cold/rain/warm/rinse & repeat weather we experienced here in KY. Checked the gas and it was clear ... ran the boat with that 6mo old gas & it ran just fine.

I have used plain Stabil, or Marine Stabil, or Seafoam over the course of the past 6yrs I've owned the boat, and the previous owner (longtime friend of mine) used Stabil & Seafoam together during the year or so that he owned the boat. I'm currently just using Seafoam, and will continue doing so, after having the positive experience of this past Winter & only a half tank full. I normally fill the tank before letting it sit thru the Winter months, to cut down on any possibility of moisture condensation.

I kind of figured the Ring Free and Seafoam were similar, but I didn't know if they were also a fuel stabilizer. Thanks, think I'll go with just Seafoam and non-ethanol gas.

Ring Free is a Yamaha product....if you look in your manual it says to use it....it basically removes combustion chamber carbon and keep your piston rings from sticking. Mix it exactly as instructions....too much is not good.
