Newer model foot control on older MK?
I have a 2006 Powerdrive with the original foot pedal. Sometimes the pedal is SLOOWWWW to respond to the left. My dad has an extra 2012 pedal from his V2. I know the connector is different, but is there any way to maybe splice and be able to use the newer one? instead of trying to find another compatible pedal?

just ordered the new design for my v2. got it at amazon 83.54.... [ power drive corded bt foot control.] says it is compatable with all power drive and power drive v2 motors. according to what I have read, the older models don't have that long a life.

I had that model on the boat that I just sold. Went through 3 foot pedals in about 2 years...same problems as yours. I got the last one replaced under warranty from a local authorized dealer. He said that he had made a lot of money on those pedals! I went to Amazon and bought the co-pilot. Worked flawlessly, and I never looked back.
