Default Calling Cane Pole...Electrical Wiring Inquiry

This is not directly boat related BUT it will be used for boating/etc purposes and since Cane Pole is my electrical wizard hero...here is my question.

I am doing a connection conversion for my small MIG welder a 125 using regular 110 household current) to utilize a better gun with more available & cheaper consumables (tips, etc).

My original connection on the backend (machine side plug attachment) was quite different than this new connector but it was made specifically for this purpose. I have everything figured out (gas hose plumbing and main heavy power cable) except the 2 wires for the trigger wiring on the gun.

My original connection had 1 wire (12 or 14 gauge) on a blade connector for the trigger wire and it is black like almost all the other wires inside this machine.

My new one has 2 wires...a red and a black. I'll post some images of my old connector:

This is my old connector that plugs into the old connector on the outside of the welder:

This is the 1 wire (black) that attaches to a blade connector on the inner part of the old connector as well as the 4-6 gauge power cable:

This is the old connector where you can see the blade that the 1 wire connects to. This is the trigger wire but there has to be another wire for trigger on the yon side of this welder I'm sure.

This is the wire drive motor. backside of it has a few wires (not just 2). I may need to trace the third wire off this motor and it may be that is where I need to connect new wires to.

Soooo...suggestions before I let the smoke loose on my little welder and burn my whiskers off? I can absolutely take more pictures of the other business side of the machine if it might help you save my life. I'll be much happier once I get to making sparks.

"Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket ?"

You need schematic diagrams for both the old and new triggers/guns.
