Default Tubing, T-Track or bases everywhere for rod holders and accessories?

I want to install a track of some type so I can slide my rod holders and accessories around the boat based on fishing needs. Ya know, sitting up front for spider rigging. Slide them down to the sides for couple of people fishing off the sides. Or hang them off the transom for pulling cranks.

The newer boats have a form of t-track. I want to add something similar. What are my options? What have you done or seen done?

My boat came with 2 rod holders that fit the T rail. Aluminum rod was welded onto a base so couldn't adjust angle, didn't like them. I called my boat manufacture and could buy that base material by the foot. I found some other material that could be used and it was free.
I guess you could call a manufacture for some T rail and base.

Did you even listen to his question ?? He wants a rail system , not a bunch of bases. Geezzzzz. Sorry Hanr3 I'm not familiar with a aftermarket rail , but I think I have seen them in the past on some boats. Maybe someone will chime in that has experience with them. I think that's a much cleaner idea than bases with screw holes everywhere. Rails will have to be screwed on , but would be a permanent enhancement. Hope you find some !!

80/20 is a type of track that is probably heavy enough for what you are wanting to do.

Do you have a link or pictures so I can check it out?

Been researching into making my own t-track from rectangle aluminum stock. I can work it on my table saw.

I've seen that stuff before. We have a supplier that uses it for machines and such. Wilbur be correct, it won't work. I need to be able to bend it to match the contour of the boat at the bow. Thanks for the feedback so far.

Thinking I'll call my local metal supplier and see what they have in stock. After all, we do make Caterpillar and Komatsu tractors in the area and metal shops are everywhere.
