https://8020.net/catalog/category/vi...d/837/?cat=379 Sorry I did not see this sooner...Here is the 80/20 I thought might work. This is about 20mm x 40mm or about 3/4" x 1.5". I thought you could mount some 1' or 2' pieces here and there, or you might be able to heat it and bend to fit your boat curve.

Now I like this one even better, 1" x .5" and a good heavy extrusion. Not like some of the lighter ones I have used on my kayak. Amazon is your friend when hunting something like this.

Take some pictures of what ever you end up doing, if I ever trade boats again I may be in the same situation. Thanks.

[QUOTE=Hanr3;3548210]I've seen that stuff before. We have a supplier that uses it for machines and such. Wilbur be correct, it won't work. I need to be able to bend it to match the contour of the boat at the bow. Thanks for the feedback so far

    Cant bend it.

    Update!
I looked at a lot of options. My first choice was .75" X 1.5" rectangular aluminum bar stock from my local supplier. A 12' piece is $89 x 2 = roughly $190 plus tax and machining. Ouch!!!!

I checked into that 80/20 extruded stuff from my local supplier, about $53 for an 8' stick. Discovered I could order directly from 80/20.

I bought 4- 6' x .75" x 1.5" single slot T-Track. Plus 12 T slot bolt, washer, and handles and paid $30 in shipping. Total cost to my door was $154.
Wilbur is correct, bending will be a challenge. I can flex it by hand to mimic my curve, but there is no way I'm going to pull it in tight by hand. My current thought is to thin the bottom profile to half its thickness. Cut it from .25" thick to .125" thick. I plan to cut this down on my table saw with carbide tipped stacked dado blades. Should cut through it like a hot knife through cold butter. I should be able to bend it fairly well with that relief cut. The two sticks that go on the back half of each gunwale will bolt right up, no milling involved. Pictures of the material to follow. They are on my phone and its easier to upload them from the phone.

Looks good. You might try some heat to bend it. Keep us posted. I want to see finished pictures.
