    Default Motorguide Xi5 Mounting Questions

I currently have a Motorguide Brute 762v on my boat. The circuit board is on it's last legs, and after searching for a replacement, I have discovered the part is obsolete/no longer available. I've been looking for a new trolling motor and decided on the Xi5.

My question is about mounting it to the boat. My current trolling motor is on a Motorguide Gator Mount. Will this work with the new Xi5?
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.

I have a MinKota Edge on my boat. Want to go to the XI5 too. Will the XI5 fit on the MinKota mounting plate?

Yes, I think it is. It's actually a fourtrex and not an edge.
