While it's still on the motor or taken off for cleaning ??

If you intend to leave it on the motor ... I'd suggest running SeaFoam in your gas.

Especially not a good idea on a two stroke engine, if you intend to spray the cleaner into the carbs of a running engine ... as it can remove the lubricating properties of the oil being sent into the engine.

No, that stuff can do some bad things to lots of rubber and plastic parts which your carbs have plenty of. If needing spray look for a product call deep creep or just creep. Made by seafoam just in a spray can.

in RED !!!! it will work for sure !!! and what cray is good stuff too if you are wanting to clean your carbs !!!! I have 1985 Johnson 140 hp looper and its get Seafoam in every time I fill up along with Stabil !!!! I have done that on every outboard I have owned !!!!

NO , if you spray it in the carbs, it goes right through onto the crank bearings, rod bearings and into the combustion chamber taking all the oil with it, very very bad to a two stoke. Like posted above Seafoam in every tank, your motor will thank you for it

Thanks guys I returned it and got seafoam deep creep to free up the carbs and running seafoam through a gallon of treated fuel tonight. 1 can seafoam to 1 gallon should do it right?

Should treat 12 gals per can I believe , you could use the 1 gal to get it into the carbs, let it sit a day or so , then dump the rest into the fuel tank and take it to the lake to see if it runs, if the needle is stuck in the seat or high speed jet is completely plugged, carb rebuild may still be needed

I'm hoping to avoid that for the simple fact that my engine has 6 carbs and I'm not sure I'd survive the stress of rebuilding then all ha
