    Default New Trolling zMotor

I want to get a new remote trolling motor for my 17 1/2 Foot Lowe boat. It had a 55 lb remote wireless in it now. Works pretty good but just wanting newer one

Want another wireless controller as well. Without breaking the bank, what would be a great replacement

Depends on what you consider breaking the bank.

Really depends on how you fish and your intent to utilize.

I-pilot might be the way to go if you do a ton of trolling as it provides track back, trails, auto pilot, and navigation. You can get the I-pilot on the Ulterra, Terrova, Power Drive, and most of the saltwater models.

Co-pilot would be the way to do if you simply want to go hands free. Keep in mind that when purchasing a unit (like the powerdrive V2) they don't come with Co-pilot (unless advertised). It is an add on for around 130.00 and bolts right on to the machine.

That is by way of Minn-kota. Different set of options with Motorguide platforms. Cannot really comment as I don't own one of those.
Like others mentioned, depends on YOUR definition of breaking the bank.

Also, when purchasing a new motor, many of the ones I am speaking of are 24v or 36v systems. With the cost of the motor comes the cost of a new battery/batteries. Most will recommend having the same batteries (matching characteristics). You can however get a new Powerdrive V2 in a 55lb thrust 12volt

Contact Brian over at BBG and he could help you out on pricing better than I could.

For me, I have a deep V, I troll all day long. I couldn't get by with a 55lb thrust motor or a 12v system. It just wouldn't work for very long.
