    Default Tilt hydraulic fluid

Can anyone tell me if the fluid you put in your T/T unit is the same as regular hydraulic fluid say for a forklift

Depends on the motor. I know some of the older Mercs use straight 30W oil.

Many Johnson/Evinrudes from the early-mid 90's called for Dex/Mercon transmission fluid for the tilt/trim fluid.
