Thread: Island Grove, Abington 5/19

Decided to brave the brutal wind yesterday and take my canoe out. Picked up some nice bluegills and a few small largemouths. This lake is completely choked with weeds this season. It had weeds last year, but definitely not as much. Made for some tough fishing and I think I spent half the time or more removing weeds from my lure. Anyway, it was still nice to get out for a bit.

I can't believe they are stocking it with trout now. It just has this reputation of dirty water. Seems like they improved the quality of the water this year vs. last year though. Probably because of the trout. Sure the water was much nicer back in the 60's
