    Piney Run Reservoir, Fishing Maryland

Haven't fished this other than from the dock. Very pretty lake with very clear water...$10 bucks to get in if you're not a Carroll County resident ($5 if you are).

I've been fishing Piney Run for about 6 years now and caught only one Crappie the entire time.

The Yellow Perch are kinda' taking over it seems, as some days I can't even get my lure into the water without a YP hitting it.

    Default Piney Run Fishing

I've been fishing at Piney Run for several years and have never seen a crappie there. Caught plenty of blue gill and yellow perch. I've seen catfish and a decent-sized tiger muskie (neither of which I caught).

We landed an 8 pound catfish there a few years ago and I've caught a few largemouth between 3 and 4 pounds.

I think the Tiger Muskie along with with too many people keeping the Crappie have killed the population there.

Its a shame Md. doesn't restock crappie they way they do in the southern states.
