I catch more crappie in the winter, but that's when I target them. Just the tip of some of those jigs glow. I'm looking for a better source of glow paint. The glow powder paint I'm currently using doesn't glow very bright.

I like the attention to detail on the ice jigs. I wouldn't purchase jigs anymore if I knew how!!! Good stuff mike. may crappie up just a bit up north to me... ill have to adventure up north soon.
--------You can catch crappie all year, even in winter/ice fishing. Here is some winter crappie caught from shore.Name: 1-4-17.jpg

darn, I'm fairly new to the crappie fishing. didn't know they existed till 6 years ago. but ever since I caught my first one I was hooked and thats all she wrote. hopefully you do figure out a better solution for paint. but in all honesty you the man, those jigs look appetizing, if I was a crappie of course.

I don't think you hi-jacked the thread Andy. Making my own lures just adds to the hobby.
