Thirty days straight on the Potomac each year..

Looking forward to posting reports again. By the time 30 days are up I will be tired of crappie and looking forward to bigger fish ,,, monster fish,,,

I been reading about some good ice fishing on Deep Creek lake. They had a report in the fishermen mag. about a good crappie bite in penrod cove for whatever thats worth. I was going to take this weekend off but Sittinduck may have talked me into going with him for a 1/2 day on sat.

went ice fishing for the first time this year been going with an older fella up the road and so far has been fun but this weekend is going to be cold cold weather said to feel like 8 degrees hope not but anything is possiable .
best of luck to ya on sat and if you ever come up this way drop me a line and i help any way i can . the best crappie water i know of up here is in the youghageny resivor and most of it lies in p.a. but you can fish it all with a md licence from the boat but thats in the spring thats when it's time to head to the willows lol.

and just out of curiosity where is penn rod cove i can't think of it i know of penn point and penn cove they are up close to turkey neck ?

    thanks,
    Scott

I think tear-em up might be mixed up with the authors name, Ken Penrod, I read the same article and cant remember the name of the cove either, just keep trying all till ya catch some crappie, slow troll as many rods as you can, throw a school at em theyll bite eventually! Good Luck scm and will keep you up to date when we do the stickers some day. g

That cove is named after Ken Penrod for the amount of fish he"s caught out of there.
