Jerry,

I will be there for sure! Since I'm in the Hot Springs area, you can count on me for whatever.

Jerry

Your post is a very interesting read....never been to your state before - this is very tempting.

What is the nearest town to the lake? Need to to some looking at maps and expense projections - see if I can get a kitchen pass for that weekend.

What does it take to get a non-resident license - process and $?

Thanks

UG

I'll answer those questions for you. Jerry's working on a new gps right now. The closest little community where Crappie Camp will be held on Lake Greeson is called Daisy, AR. Not sure if that will show up in a google search or not though. Kirby is 6 miles away and Glenwood is 14 miles. Hot Springs is the closest major city at about 45 miles. On my website (or Jerry's too) you can click on the directions page, follow the directions, then input your home address and google will give you a map from your house to the lake.

Non-resident 3-day license is only $11.00. You can purchase one locally no problem. Or, you can go online to License Information or call 800-364-4263 to purchase your license. You get to pick the date and time you want them to start. If there's time they will mail them to you or all you have to do is write the confirmation number down and keep that with you.

We'll compile the waypoints a couple weeks before Crappie Camp when we'll have a pretty good idea what the lake level will be. We'll put a link to the file on this thread. The file will be in .gpx format, which can be uploaded directly to most Garmin handheld units or converted for other units. You can use EasyGPS (a free download from EasyGPS - FREE GPS Software for your Garmin, Magellan, or Lowrance GPS) or Garmin's Mapsource to transfer the file to your GPS.
