Interesting. Garry Mason also likes the gold line -- says it actually attracts crappie.

fished Bobcat's Crappie Tournaments past season.(Buggs Is. Lake) 7 or 8 contests. fished alone. One rod. won one, had big fish in 2. 2nd biggest in another. 1.58, 1.96, 2.12lbs. finished 2nd in points for the yr. Yellow Sufix Elite, 4lb test. Castin jigs. seein is believin!
