anyone call Crappie, "Crappie Bass"

I was watching a crappie fishing show on www.myoutdoortv.com

and one of the guys from PA was calling them "Crappie Bass"...It's a show called Great Day Outdoors and they are crappie fishing on Blue Marsh Lake. It has to be one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. I don't think comedy was their goal but for me they hit the funny bone. I like the camera boat and those Big Ole Crappie Bass the most!!!

I have seen that show,and was hoping no one else did.It figures the one time that a local lake is feature on a TV show that the hosts make fools of themselves,I am hoping there from Jersey.The bad thing is I have heard other people up here call them that,I don't know why.

one of the nicknames for Crappie is "Strawberry Bass" :p but, I've never heard anyone call them that .... much less a "Crappie Bass". :D

AD, thats the same group of people the news media seeks out to interview at the scene of some sort of disaster. Crappie bass.....new one on me.
