    Default rod wrap

I have seen some pros (and others) that have the reel seat wrapped with something. My rod handles get real slippery after I catch a couple of crappie and i forget to whipe my hands before picking my rod back up.

I use Bn'M poles with the foam handles. I just wanted to know if anyone uses a wrap and if so, does it help with grip and keeping the handle from getting too slimey?

i use it to tell the difference between my pole lengths, different colors different lengths, it helps when i take friends fishing that do not fish that often, i can tell them they have a hit on the green pole.

I've used the rod wrap before and it will get slippery also, maybe not as bad but if your looking to protect your handle it works but it still gets slick, like Fuzzy said I would think that wrap you get at wally world work just as well.

I use TOURNA GRIP which is used to wrap tennis racket handles and it works great! You can get it at Wal-Mart. The XL package has enough to wrap three rod handles.
Check out the website for more information on this handle grip material www.uniquesports.us

i started using them when i had the same problems. a friend told me about them. it it the same rap as that of the old steering wheel rap for cars in different colors, and i would not fish without them got them on all of my rods. i have had one on my favorite rod for over three years and still works great.

i've got both on my poles the rod wrap from BPS and some wilson stuff from walmart and i can't tell a difference in quality or endurance. i've wrapped my jiggin' poles in black tennis wrap and the trollers in the red rod wrap and both have lasted 2 years still feel good. i'm rough on equipment. they do feel better especially when holding them for long period of time. better grip in all conditions. One of those improvements that don't catch fish but does feel better.
