wondering what you guys use for a small bucket up front, I am using a little plastic container and they do not last long. Need something small for storage up front.
thanks
My boat also came with the nets wicklunrh mentioned above when i left my minnow bucket at home. Up in the northern state they worked well in the cooler climate keeping them in the livewell, but do not think the minnows will stay alive using the same method in the summer due to the warm water temps. You need a engel or similar bucket here. With that said, engel makes a nice bait bucket and just through some ice in it with minnows in the middle of summer and they stay alive, but will say engels aerator lack on the longevity, as do the frabills. The frabil lasted just a few months and the engel aerators lasted me about 6 months fishing year round.

I put my Engel in the walk through portion of my boat. This way the guys in the back can use it as well as the guys up front. That said, I find myself leaving it in the back for those guys and then using a plastic coffee can. Throw some minnows in and an ice cube or two. If the start looking bad, I throw them back in to the Engel for a little recessitation

Thanks, going to try a little Igloo cooler up front
Slap a bubble box on it, drill a few holes in the top, and you’ll have yourselves a fine minner bucket!
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” - Matthew 4:19
I use the same cooler, but I cut out the bottom of the lid pocket so I can just flip open the lid to dip a minnow. I have a 12 volt aerator with a tube running through the back side of cooler. Work great and I can open the lid with one hand, the cooler lid is tighter and requires 2 hands (for me anyway).
