    Default Go-to *natural* baits?

I'm thinking along the lines of meal worms and canned corn. Seems to be an all-rounder when fishing the local farm ponds. Perhaps there are others I should try??

If you have the time to catch them, crawdads and grasshoppers. If you have a basement or garage and put down a strip of duct tape sticky side up you’ll catch crickets. They are great for bluegill

    Worms and minnows...
But I'm trying to build a crawdad trap out of tobacco sticks and scrap 1/4" screen.

Wasp larva work good on gills and would probably be good to tip a jig for crappie.
