it should hold fish later ,yes it is great to do your homework will put you ahead of the game.those few dots are not fish but what I call algee that stick to old wood.always look at the limb and when the dots are in line with the limb it is usually that stuff,all of us have seen it when we have pull up a limb and saw those balls of gooie stuff with air in it,usually when it is a fish there will be a space between dot and limb ,not always but a good clue is when the dots follow the limb
