Still had trouble with the I need to go to work syndrome so I work, but only part time driving cars for an auto group here.
Sometimes I feel like it's a curse, but other times, especially in the winter it's a blessing because it gets me out of the house.
Your story reminds me of a good friend who retired early so he could go fishing every day. It lasted about three weeks. It drove him crazy to not be working. He couldn't go back to where he had retired, and wound up commuting 90 miles to get a job in his field, eventually getting a room for the work week, and going back on weekends to be with his wife (she wasn't about to leave her home).

Retired three years ago at age 60. With all the friends and family needing chores done it became a 60-70 hour week workload. Decided that it would be easier to work part time 35 hours per week making a little money but having an excellent health care insurance program provided by the company. Myself, I need accountability in my life. I have always worked and did not feel I was contributing as much as I could. Maybe someday I will retire..............hopefully.

Congrats! I retired three years ago after 43 years with the same company. Although it took me a week ( well, maybe not that long) to get used to not getting up early to be at work I've gotten used to the retirement routine. Find a hobby, help others when ya can, and join a YMCA, keep your boat ready and your reels oiled. Have fun and enjoy!

Congrats! I retired in August. It's not like I thought it would be. Thought all I would do was fish and hunt. Boy was I wrong! Lol! There's plenty to do around the house. But I still have time to do what I want. Which is great now that I'm used to having a different boss! Lol! Enjoy!
