I wanted the driftmaster Rod locker . It's lockable . Driftmaster could not tell me if linecounter reels would fit. They gave me some measurements of product over the phone. I measured my linecounters, and I don't think they'll fit. If your using small reels , you may want to check Rod locker out. Could save expensive rods from thieves. I wish I could find a lockable transport for my application.

Thanks.....does the rubber coating look like it would protect graphite rods as you’re running at speed?

    Regards

I have the Driftmaster tipsavers and used them last year with my 14 ft rods,no damage at all to the rods.I had my rods rigged on them on the way to the lake and traveling place to place on the water and they stayed put with no problems.Only thing I did different was to add some thick rubber bands in addition to the black elastic type straps that come with them to help keep everything in place while on the highway.

I can't respond to that, because I don't know yet.

I’m going to be honest. Had a set of these on the rail mounted on my 1648 g3 jon boat and had a heck of a time of trying to fit 6 to 8 rods and reels, be the rods loaded with, spinning reels or my okuma DX 15 and 20s as ther just isn’t the room. Then the weight of the rods would cause a lot of bouncing going down, the highway. So I went with a 3 rod holders of creekslick down the side of my 16’ jon boat, I can remove the very back one if I am using just 5 or 6 ft rods to 8 ft and for my 10-12’ rods back to 3 uprights and the rods travel so much more stable and I am not beating the reels up either. Just my 2 cents as they probably work better on fiberglass boats. Here is a link of creekslicks with pics.
