Way to go! Outstanding!!
A fine catch and report. I'm envious! Still got another 2 - 3 months before we can wet a line here. Great pictures!
KABOOM ......sounds like a great day and looks so in the photos as well ....congrats
Thanks for a great report. Congrats on a special trip.
You sure know how to make our cabin fever even worse up here.
What an awesome trip.
Thanks for the comments. I hear you about cabin fever. The older I get the more I dislike the winter and cold. Hoping this weather will break soon for everyone.

How are you liking that new Trout Slayer rod? I’ve got one of the trinity series and several of the SOS series 6’6’s but have been eying that trout slayer rod as I’m a fan of split grips.

I field tested that rod. It was designed very similar to JDM rods. For years I used the Sore Lip Series and own a couple of Trinity rods for fishing the float. But for years now all of my rods are out of Japan. The Trout Slayer rods have a very high graphite content.....are very sensitive......very light. I would say it is a great rod for the money. This past spring my nephew and I were crappie fishing but had to deal with spawning buffalo......catching 15 in the 5-10 pound range. The Trout Slayer rods handled them just fine. We had those rods bent into a big U and they did not fail. I would certainly recommend it as an UL rod.

Nice mess of fish! I think it would be awesome to catch brookies and crappie in the same place... the like I primarily fish has a good supply of rainbows and sometimes in the spring I’ll get into a mess of those on hair jigs mixed with the crappie... brookies however are my favorite trout and they don’t stock them a whole lot in my area... really cool place you have to fish! Great pics!
