Wise thinking!
Time for me to admit that I'm somewhat less "tough" than I used to be. I carry a bag as heavy as a 10hp motor. It holds (6) 3700 size boxes of lures. 3 smaller boxes for terminal tackle, spare parts, etc. After age, 3 heart attacks, and a stroke, it is time to act my age. Going from this:
To this:
I can remove any 2-3 boxes from the big bag and put in the smaller satchel bag based upon the current days fishing agenda.
I keep all my stuff on the boat so the only thing I carry is my big butt.

For crappie, I downsized to one terminal box, one jig box, and a small bag for plastics. Too many options sometimes clutter the thought process. We sometimes make things way more difficult when we have too many choices.

I have OCD "Obsessive Crappie Disorder"
I did the same thing a few years ago. Even with that I could downsize more. I very seldom ever switch things up. Sometimes us fishermen are worse than you know who with their purses. haha just kidding...

I did the same thing awhile back.I use to lug a big bag that must have weighed over 50 lbs and took up way to much boat space and started using a much smaller bag that contains stuff I'm actually gonna use fishing that day.

Agreed. I recently read a good book on the subject:

FWIW, a half dozen jigs are plenty for me on most days.
