I visited Saturday outside Carbondale Ill, the Southern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Expo. And the US Dept of Wildlife had their tent and cookers set up, cooking and passing out deep fried Asian Carp to the public for free. Mighty tasty as I went back for seconds. As long as someone else is catching, cleaning and cooking it, I will eat it.

Environmentalists. Some are reasonable, but most are zealots. I have to deal with them on occasion. They like to "lecture" you. Needless to say that I have had some colorful conversations with this cult.

the EPA and global warming activist should be on it. with all of our tax dollars you would think one of those "brilliant minds" could come up with a program that ACTUALLY HELPS our environment an local species of fish. But im sure they will just let it get to a point of no return an blame it on trump somehow lol
NOT trying to start, or expand, a political discussion - but - the EPA has been underfunded for years, and the current administration has proposed to cut them drastically. AND the person in charge of the EPA is about as far from an environmentalist as you can possibly get. Good luck getting them to even consider this mess in a few of our rivers. Maybe when a school of them jumps into their yacht and spills their wine.
AGAIN, not trying to start anything. I just don't expect anything to get done on a federal level. It will come down to you and me and the communities affected, to come up with a solution, and then act on it.

Yeah, let's leave Politics out of our discussions (as per site rules). Otherwise we'll have to send this to the WOT Forum, or just simply close it to further discussion.

The EPA is like all bureaucracies. Their initial purpose is good, but they soon exist only to grow and perpetuate themselves. There's no way any major infrastructure project can be built in this country any more. I'm rooting for our President to take the broadaxe to them.
